Especially ones involving motorbikes, so I have to ask the question if you have to be over a certain age to obtain a road license, how you don't qualify due to age but you can race off road in a sanctioned event with apparently one?, and supposedly fully ACC covered?, I find it rather bizzare that you have a race licence but then cannot ride home on a road legally, what's the go please?, and I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.
Jimmy...ACC and motorcycles ....

ACC and motorcycle riders are an enigma to me really. I write to the Minister of Transport and ACC and get the same rhetoric back everytime. Motorcycles and riders are just bad...therefore, even tho many of us (not all, many) are involved in accidents not caused by the rider, but is always to blame, so, we need to 'punish" them by the exorbitant ACC levy put on bikes. However, "off road" incidents almost invited to happen are fully covered by ACC...the riders have no requirement for registration fees as it is not conducted on a public road. Cyclists are also in this category I believe, fully covered by ACC and yet not paying a cent for it! Police are "unable" to give detailed information of cause of accidents so a true picture of the truth is somewhat "masked" to say the least.
