Spring is in the air at the Tauranga Farmers Market with a variety of festive stalls and activities to match.
Tauranga Farmers Market manager Trixie Allen says the spring festival is on, despite the rain.

'The stall holders have joined in tremendously with their decorated hats, using all sorts of live decorations.
'We've also had members of the public come in with their hats decorated and they have all won a prize for coming in wearing it.”
The Tauranga Public Library is also down at the market doing storytelling and there is also face painting so the kids can enjoy themselves while mum and dad do some shopping.
Trixie says the rain doesn't stop people coming to the market, it just brings out the umbrella brigade.
'It doesn't change anything and we are very busy this morning.
'We have some strawberries that have arrived, along with some new stall holders and fresh snow peas,” explains Trixie.
'And don't forget tomorrow morning when you're watching the match, you can get all your ingredients here. The bacon, the tomatoes, the black pudding, the eggs and the breads.”
The Tauranga Farmers Market is hosted at Tauranga Primary School until 12pm.
