Crowds to Katikati A and P

The 89th Katikati A and P show is under way at Uretara Domain today, with a cool breeze bringing many people in early this morning.

The A and P Show had only just opened its gates at 9am, but there was already cars piled up on the streets and a steady flow of residents and visitors making their way around the stalls and displays.

Secretary Anne Howard says the show has added a few new features this year such as the Water Walkers, where you can run on the water in giant plastic balls and a new Clydesdale section that she hopes will do well.

Water Walkers were popular with the kids.

Events will be happening throughout the day including cattle judging, cricket display and a milking competition. There will also be live music from the Katikati Community Band.
