Tumbling oil prices have seen petrol cut by another two cents per litre.
Brent crude oil is now under US$50 a barrel on the world markets.
Both diesel and petrol have dropped in price.
The latest drop in fuel price brings the total of cents cut in the past month to save.
Z trimmed 91 octane to about $2.05 a litre, with premium down to $2.14. Diesel was down to $1.24 a litre, reports Stuff.
Falling world fuel prices have been partly offset by a weaker New Zealand dollar.
But the Automobile Association still thinks there is scope for fuel prices to come down another 2c to 3c a litre.
Z Energy says the latest cut this week was driven by a fall in the price of refined petrol and diesel on the international market.
'The price decrease may well have been larger if not for the New Zealand dollar which has continued to soften against the US dollar.”
The New Zealand dollar was trading about US65.4c on Friday, down from more than US67c at the start of July.

Rotorua still well under 2.00 as they have been for last 2 years apart from a few weeks. Caltex at Te Ngae are 1.89 and with an AA fuel card that drops to 1.83 and that is before this latest drop. Who is over charging. Z and BP are at the top end always so why do people still go there.

Your so right people look at the price not what sort of fuel it is. BIO FUELS do less Km. So in the long run it costs them more to fill up

are you getting this idea from? My car has a real time fuel consumption gauge and an vaerage consumption gauge and there is NO DIFFERENCE between Gull fuel and anyone elses. You are swallowing the false claims made by other companies against Gull.
Partially correct

Gulls 98 octane is an ethanol blend, which does have a lower energy content and will return lower fuel economy. However, the 91 octane should be equivalent to other providers 91.
