Saving animal species and addressing global threats is the work behind a major conservation organisation.
But a group of animal-loving Omokoroa No.1 School pupils are proving even the smallest person can make a difference.

A wish to save endangered animals has prompted nine and 10-year-olds Maya Stone, Lily Pardy, Gemma Surry, Alana Griffin, Maggie Hines and Fleur Lassale to raise funds for World Wildlife Fund.
To help fundraise, the girls have organised an Animal Day at the Plummers Point Rd School from 10am to 1pm today.
The event includes printed cards designed by Maya, arts and crafts, face painting, horse rides, baking and goodies, a book sale – and fun gala games including guess the number of lollies and apple bobbing.
All funds raised from the event will go towards WWF.
