The cause of a van fire in a Greerton workshop is being attributed to an electrical fault.
Greerton Fire Brigade, along with Tauranga Fire Brigade, were called to the fire on Glenlyon Avenue, off Oropi Road, about 5.30pm.

Greerton Fire Brigade station officer Neil Patrick says the workshop was smoke logged as a result of the fire.
'It was a small fire in a vehicle. We spent about 10 minutes putting the fire out and another 30 minutes cleaning everything up and looking for the cause of the fire.
'At the stage, we think it may have started due to an electrical fault in a vehicle.”
There was no damage to the work shop and a little bit of damage to the vehicle.
