Police are looking for the owners of a number of items that have been handed into Whakatane Police Station recently.

A MTB Giant Bike was found on State Highway 30 on December 22, a blue Samsun phone was found in Ohope on January 1 and a white i-Phone was located in James Street on December 31.

A number of items have been found and handed into Whakatane Police Station in the last month.

A black i-phone was found on West End Road in Ohope on December 29, a nokia cellphone was found on Thornton Beach Road on December 25.

Police are also looking for the owners of a purple and pink scooter found at the Whakatane Library on December 21, pink, grey and white Saucony shows found at Whakatane RSA on December 23 and a red, black and white helmet found at Whakatane Library on December 4.

'If anyone is able to provide Police with some proof of ownership then we would be happy to reunite these items with the rightful owners,” says Senior Sergeant Yvonne Parker.
