Police are asking for any sightings of Waikato man Wayne Holmes, who is believed to be in Te Aroha or further afield.

Holmes is considered dangerous and people are being warned not to approach him.

He is described as a male of thin build and 26-years-old. He also has the word ‘Alazye' tattooed on his right forearm.

Police says Holmes' last known location was Matamata but he could be in Te Aroha, Auckland or New Plymouth

Other names he goes by are Wayne Graeme Eltringham and Jason Robin.

If anyone has seen Holmes they are asked to contact their nearest police station.
