MetService meteorologist John Law says a high dominating the country is the main talking point, bringing with it perfect conditions for outdoor activities.
'Generally it's looking like a pretty settled week,” he says.
'We are watching out for a bit of cloud here and there, but in terms of rainfall its really looking like a dry couple of days.”
Tauranga is forecast to hit temperatures ranging between 23 and 26 degrees this week along with fine spells dominating most of the week.
John advises to keep an eye out for the occasional sea breeze throughout the afternoon, bringing with it a drop in temperature.
He adds it could also be the trigger point for the odd afternoon shower – possibly hitting the city tomorrow.
'It's looking like a fairly settled week. Most of this week, Thursday, Friday and Saturday is looking good.”
