Another earthquake from the other side of the Kaimai Range has been felt in the Bay of Plenty.
A quake registering 4 on the Richter scale and centred 25km south of Te Aroha struck around 3.43am.
Two earthquakes in the Te Aroha region have been felt in the Bay of Plenty.
GeoNet reports the earthquake was only 7km deep.
A Kaimai resident reported feeling the earthquake and believed it may have caused a sizable slip in the hill known as ‘Mt Misery' off State Highway 29.
This is the second earthquake in the area this week after a 3.4 magnitude earthquake shook parts of the region on Wednesday.
