There are no words to describe the shock of receiving copies of emails sent from Anne Pankhurst, Chamber of Commerce, to her friends on behalf of Stuart Crosby, TCC and Team Tauranga. (authorised for distribution by Mayor Stuart Crosby)
The 203 recipients are businesses, Radio Stations, Newspapers, TECT, a Bank and private people at business email addresses private persons and others.
The third email shows, from the Mayors perspective, the names of what a new council should look like from the Mayor through the 3 wards and at large councillors.
Anne Pankhurst, who holds the position of vice President, Tauranga Chamber of Commerce and is also employed by the Chamber in the position of ‘events co-ordinator' has made comment on the bottom of the email to 'Pass it on ‘The Crosby list' '.
The email originated from [email protected] which is the email address of the Chamber.
The Chamber receives 5% of its total funding from Tauranga City Council (the ratepayer)
The general public, if they knew, might consider this to be an abuse of her position within the Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber is strictly independent in political matters, and has nothing whatsoever to do with the email or its contents.
Ms Pankhurst is employed as an Events Co-ordinator, and should not have used her computer to send the email. This is an employment matter and has been dealt with internally.
Please note that the official Chamber email database which has 3,300 contacts was not used.
