Bronzed bodies on display

Sixty bodybuilders from Tauranga and around the North Island are showing off their physiques for a good cause today, Saturday.

Lance Te Kiri competes in the 80-90kg open mens event.

The Pro Formance Physique and Figure Bodybuilding Champs, at Otumoetai College, is supporting Breast Cancer Support Services Tauranga Trust with a percentage of door takings and entry fees.

Judge Kaye O'Neill says the standard of competitors is very high.

'About 70 per cent of competitors are woman and it is becoming more popular for women to compete.”

The two-part bodybuilding show features a guest poser – former Mr New Zealand, ‘Big Kiwi' Justin Rys.
From 6pm and prizes will be awarded and individuals will be posing to music for the judges and audience.
