Opotiki man Alan Grant Young is still missing after last being seen on April 19.

The 54-year-old's disappearance is being described as uncharacteristic.

Grant, as he was known to friends and family, went missing on Saturday, April 19, and his vehicle was found the following Tuesday at Maraenui Hill.

A search and rescue operation was launched, including aerial and land search teams.

Investigations into his disappearance are still continuing.

Police are appealing for any information about the missing man.

Grant is described as a Male European 180 cm of thin build. Has long hair but roughly cut.
