My husband suffered a health issue near the top of Mount Maunganui last Sunday.
I'd like to give my heartfelt thanks to the people who came to our assistance. In particular a blonde young lady who spent a good deal of time ensuring we were okay and also directed St John's to us.

Two other young ladies also assisted us, by contacting St John's and then waiting at the top until they arrived.

Also thank you to two paramedics who came to our assistance. St John medical staff were very professional and gave my husband a very thorough check-over.

Two young men from the surf club drove the four-wheel vehicle up to get us. Also all the people out for the afternoon who offered their assistance. Thank you to them all - your blood's worth bottling.

We are visitors to the area, currently staying at Fairway Lodge.
