1080 film to draw a crowd + vid

Anti 1080 campaigner Dean Maisey is expecting a large turnout tomorrow night for a screening of the film, Poisoning Paradise: Ecocide New Zealand. The documentary shows the effects of a 1080 drop on the environment as filmed in the chemical's drop zone.

The DVD has been made by film-making brothers Clyde and Steve Graf who made the earlier documentary, A Shadow of Doubt, which screened on television last year.
Doors open at 7pm and the film will be introduced by the makers who will remain after the showing to answer any questions from the audience.
The screening at the Baycourt theatre has been arranged through the Bay of Plenty branch of the New Zealand Deerstalkers Association and cost of entry is $10. Copies of the DVD will be on sale on the night at a special reduced price.
