Dr Salmon and his team at the Skin Centre planted the trees at three slip sites around Mauao to help stabilize the area.
Dr Salmon donates native trees every year and has been involved in tree planting projects at Papamoa, Baywave and Mount Maunganui as part of his programme to bring more shade to the Bay of Plenty and combat future skin melanoma.
This is the first year the Skin Centre team has helped plant the donated trees.
