A 39 year old man, employed as a bouncer, was arrested on Thursday night and charged in connection with a serious assault of a woman.
That woman is currently recovering in Tauranga Hospital.

The man was arrested from an address on Girven Road in Mount Maunganui at 11pm and charged with assault with intent to injure.
He will appear in Tauranga District Court on Friday.

• Three males were arrested on Thursday night and charged with 10 vehicle thefts. The males, two aged 16 and one 18, will appear in Tauranga District Court on Friday. The trio was also charged with offences in connection to a burglary. They will appear in Tauranga District Court on Friday.
