A man wanted for fraud offences in the Bay of Plenty has been arrested in Taupo today.
Tony Gorrie, 44, is described by police as a 'prolific fraudster who target backpackers and accommodation providers”.
Police arrested Tony Gorrie last night.
Police went to the media last week with his photo in an attempt to try and locate him.
He was spotted in Taupo last night and arrested by police after a member of the public called in his location.
Gorrie is due to appear on Taupo District Court today facing a number of burglary and fraud-related charges.
