Finding a cab in Tauranga was difficult on Friday with many of the city's drivers attending the Sangha funeral at the Pyes Pa crematorium.
The traditional Sikh funeral for Ravneet and her two year old daughter Anna brought many people from both the Sikh communities in Tauranga and Auckland, but also among the wider Western Bay of Plenty community including sporting contacts of her husband Tauranga taxi driver Dev Sangha and former work colleagues of Ravneet at Seeka, Katikati.
Ravneet and Anna shared a casket.
Also attending was Tauranga MP Simon Bridges who has had dealings with the taxi drivers over recent security issues. National list MP Kauwaljit Bakshi and Labour MP Ashraf Choudry were also expected to attend.
The crowd overflowed the chapel and their cars filled all the available parking, extending along the drive, and onto the roadside cemetery parking.

Ravneet and Anna's bodies, in a single casket, were taken to the crematorium from the Ngatai Road home where they were both found murdered last weekend.
Following the chapel service and cremation, the crowd went to the Sikh temple in Oropi for the traditional post funeral feast.
Tauranga Mount Taxis director Bruce Rainey says Dev Sangha is staying in Tauranga with family and friends, who are "looking after him and protecting him".

Dev was in India when police found the body of his wife in the house, and en route when Anna's body was also discovered in the house.
A former resident of the Sangha's home, Deepak Nagpal, 23, has been charged with Ravneet's murder. He is remanded in custody until June 25. Police say further charges may be laid.
