Te Puke dairy owner Ramlal Ladher chased a would-be armed robber from his shop on Sunday.

The woman aged 20-25, used a make believe gun assembled from plastic pipe and a car jack handle, says Ramlal, who owns the Rainbow Dairy.
'The girl she said she had a gun and to give her all the money,” says Ramlal.
'But I was going to give her nothing, and I chased her.”
She escaped in a 1997 grey Ford Laser Ghia waiting just round the bend in Boucher Avenue. It drove off down towards Te Puke.
The woman told Ramlal she was a Maori.
'But she didn't tell me her name.”
