Rain is on the forecast for the next two days but the MetService is predicting a 'stubborn” high to move across Tauranga bringing fine weather on Friday and Saturday.
'The high should maintain fairly settled weather over much of New Zealand,” says media and communications meteorologist Dan Corbett.
Fine weather is expected on Friday and Saturday.
'It still won't really feel much like winter, with no real cold air on the horizon.”
Daily highs for Tauranga are expected to sit around the 16 degree mark while overnight lows will drop down between six and 10 degrees.
Dan says the next significant trough is expected to cross New Zealand later on Wednesday and Thursday.
'Thursday should be wet in most places, at least for part of the day.
'This trough is expected to pass fairly slowly across the country because it's pushing up against the big high out to the east.”
