Bay spring average

NIWA's National Climate Centre predicts typical spring weather in the Western Bay of Plenty before El Niño sets in across the country.
Average temperatures are likely in the Western Bay, along with normal rainfall. Soil moisture and stream flows are likely for the entire season, according to NIWA.

Following the third cold month in a row, NIWA predicts temperatures for August, September, and October are likely to be about average.
NIWA predictions also suggest mean sea level pressures over the next three months are likely to transition towards El Niño conditions, with enhanced westerly winds, at times.
