Tauranga residents concerned about climate change are starting up a Bay of Plenty chapter of the international organisation called 350.

Based on a range of scientific research the Tauranga group is examining choices made by various governments around the world and hoping to petition the New Zealand government on reducing the country's total carbon emissions.
The group's first meeting is being held at the Tauranga Environment Centre on Monday, August 3, at 5.30pm.
