Memorial Park's future role as a hub for the city's wastewater management is being discussed at today's Tauranga City Council Projects and Services Committee meeting.

The park will be the site of the pumping station that will move wastewater flows across the harbour to the treatment plant at Te Maunga.
Councillors have to decide between a tank or a tunnel as emergency storage options for the pumping station.
