Temporary traffic management is in place on Welcome Bay Rd in Tauranga as crews work to repair a broken water main.

The works are located near Welcome Bay Hall, with traffic being maintained in both directions, although motorists are being warned to expect delays, a council statement said.

Council said repairs are scheduled to continue over the weekend, with the road expected to be fully reinstated by Tuesday, June 23.
