A well organised group is believed to have stolen a large quantity of high end consumer electronics from The Warehouse at Fraser Cove early Sunday morning.

Large numbers of iPods, iPads, cameras, Playstations and accessories were taken in the burglary by thieves who broke in through a side door before dawn yesterday.

The Warehouse in Fraser Cove was burgled early on Monday morning.

'They are very organised,” says Tauranga Police acting detective sergeant Lou Curragh.

'The offenders were organised and knew what they were doing.”

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity or people parked up or hanging around Fraser Cover Warehouse in the days before the burglary.

'They are a professional group and they are well organised. This certainly wouldn't be their first, I would suggest.”

The burglary took place about 5am Monday morning – a time SunLive understands is after the shelves are restocked overnight, and before the dayshift starts at 7am.

She would not comment on any link between the Warehouse burglary and the burglary of the Warehouse Stationery on November 28.

That burglary also took place about 5am, with entry to the building also through a rear or side door. A large quantity of mainly high end smartphones was stolen.

The Warehouse will not comment on the amount of goods stolen, says general manager of operations, Pejman Okhovat.
