After being one of the highlights of last year's summer tour Six60 are returning to Mount Maunganui with a brand new show as part of their nationwide summer tour.
Tonight the Dunedin band Six60 will be bringing the Otago party vibe to Brewers Bar where they will be playing alongside special guest New Zealand rapper David Dallas.
Six60 will play at Brewers Bar tonight.
From playing in the garage to a small group of friends and family, to playing in front of a sold out crowd - Six60's bass player Chris Mac says this year's tour is the ultimate house party.
'It's a brand new show we have got a whole different thing going on. It's definitely a party.”
Chris says the band is looking forward to coming back to the Mount.
'(It was) one of the highlights last year, we are really excited to go back.”
After a successful year last year Chris says the band is now looking towards the future.
'It's been a roller coaster. We're so busy. We're very focused on the future.”
This year's tour saw the release of a hit single - Lost, in an anniversary show in Auckland where the band played alongside a live orchestra for the first time.
'That was a career highlight. It was a big learning curve.”
The concert came as the band celebrated the release of their untitled debut album a little more than one year ago.
'It's been a dream. It's pretty amazing really; it's something you dream of doing.”
Online tickets to tonight's show at Brewers Bar are sold out. Limited door sales are available. Door sales cost $70.
