The Pulse have won the opening game of the ANZ Premiership with a comprehensive 57-44 win over the Magic.

They outscored the Magic 15-6 in the first quarter of the game on Saturday, which did most of the damage.

Magic captain Ameliaranne Ekenasio scored a number of super shots under the new 2-point rule, but it wasn't enough to close the gap.
