Fine weather for the Bay

Fine, settled weather is expected to stay in the Bay of Plenty for the next few days.

The MetService reports a broad ridge of high pressure is crossing the North Island and is bringing with it settled weather.

As the ridge moves northwards, it should reduce the impact of a weakening front to afternoon and evening showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, says public weather services manager Ramon Oosterkamp.

'While it might not be perfectly fine all the time, any showers are likely to be in the afternoon and evening over inland areas, with coastal cloud in the mornings.

'For most people, the days should be pleasant, with daytime highs in the 20s.”

It rained this morning. The exact opposite to what they predicted. Metservice are having an early April fool joke......again.
