Update, 9.20am: A gas main strike incident in Greerton is now resolved.
Fire emergency services attended the scene on Chadwick Road.
“A gas line was struck by a digger,” says Fire Emergency NZ Northern Shift Manager Paul Radden.
Fire emergency services were called at 8.40am to the scene.
“We had one fire truck attend, it’s now resolved, and we have left the scene.”

Reports are coming in of a gas main strike in Greerton.
A SunLive reader has emailed in to say there are two fire engines and police cars on Chadwick Road.
They say it looks to be a recent building site.
A police spokesperson says they are assisting Fire and Emergency New Zealand in a traffic management capacity.
