Emergency services are at the scene of a three vehicle crash on SH29A between Kuihi St, Poike and Hairini St, Hairini.
"One of the vehicles reportedly went over a cliff and another car caught fire," says a police spokesperson.
"All occupants were out of their vehicles, and no one was injured. The vehicles are currently being towed from the scene."
Police first received reports of the crash on SH29A at about 1.25pm this afternoon near Poike.
A Tauranga City Council spokesperson says the crash is currently causing heavy congestion.
"Traffic is currently being directed by emergency services.
"Expect delays and follow the directions of emergency services."
