UPDATE 6.17pm: The crash reported on State Highway 29 over the Kaimai Range has been cleared and traffic is flowing freely.

The crash reported at 4.20pm involved two vehicles, says a police spokesperson.

"No injuries are reported." 

EARLIER 5.05pm: Motorists are asked to avoid State Highway 29 over the Kaimai Range while emergency services respond to a crash involving multiple vehicles.

"The crash was reported at around 4.20pm today," according to a police spokesperson.

"One lane is blocked and initial indications are that there have been injuries.

"Please avoid the area and expect delays."
