UPDATE 10.36am: The power outage reported in Papamoa this morning has been resolved.

A SunLive reader says the power came back on at around 10.20am.

The PowerCo map also shows the outage has been resolved.

EARLIER 9.24am: A large scale power outage is being reported in Papamoa.

A caller to SunLive says power went off this morning.

Powerco reports that 4100 properties are affected by the outage.

A site investigation is underway into the cause.

Powerco estimates the restoration time to be around 1.30pm.
