UPDATE 12.06PM: Maunganui Road is reported to be clear now following a crash earlier this morning.

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency says an "earlier crash near Concord Ave has now been cleared from eastbound lanes on SH2 (Maunganui Rd)".

"Delays in this area are easing."

EARLIER:

Traffic delays are being reported on Maunganui Road following a crash.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says a truck and car have crashed near Concord Ave.

"Emergency services are on scene and people should expect delays."

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency reports that the eastbound lanes of SH2/Maunaganui Road are blocked due to the crash.

"Delay your journey or expect delays in this area until cleared."

A police spokesperson says there were "notified of the crash at 11.20am".

They say two vehicles have crashed on Maungaunui Road, near the intersection of Concord Ave.

"The road is blocked and there are no reports or serious injuries."
