One person is in a medical centre being treated for minor injuries following a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian in Tauranga.

A police spokesperson says the traffic incident happened on Taurikura Drive in Tauriko.

"[The person] has minor injuries and was transported by police to a medical centre," says a police spokesperson.
