Emergency services are responding to the scene of a crash on State Highway 29, Piarere.
A SunLive reader is reporting that there are "multiple ambulances, police etc in attendance".
"[A] car under truck, ute in ditch."
"Police responded to a motor vehicle incident on State Highway 29, Lower Kaimai this morning," says a police spokesperson.
"About 9.50am, Police were called after a tyre came off a truck.
"There are no reports of injuries. The road was blocked temporarily but has since been cleared."
Driving conditions across the Kaimai Range on SH29 are reported to be very heavy and foggy this morning.
Motorists are advised to take care while travelling in the area.
