About 194 properties in Pāpāmoa are without power this evening after a vehicle collided with a power pole on Parton Road.

A police spokesperson says the incident occurred at around 8pm.

"It doesn't appear anyone was injured.

"The road may be blocked while contractors work to clear the lines."

According to the PowerCo outages map, around 194 properties are affected.

The map says power went off at the properties at around 8.09pm.

The estimated time power will be restored to the area is 12am.
