UPDATE 4.22pm: A SunLive reader says the road previously blocked after a crash near Bethlehem on State Highway 2 is now clear.

"The crash scene is all clear now," says the reader.

"The road is incredibly slippery. I came through on Wednesday at normal speed and as soon as I got to the part where they've taken off the top layer my wheels started slipping. Scary.

"Had to take it quietly and the second piece of roading I got to was the same. Today right where that crash was, the road is still stripped of its top layer and is very slippery."
