UPDATE 7.54pm: A police spokesperson says State Highway 29 is now clear after the multiple vehicle crash earlier this evening.

The crash previously had blocked traffic, after it was reported near the intersection of Omanawa Road and SH29.

Earlier 5.24pm: There are several reports of a multiple vehicle crash at the intersection of Omanawa Road and State Highway 29 this evening.

Emergency Services are now on scene, according to a Tauranga City council spokesperson.

'One lane completely blocked.

'Expect significant delays over and above expected peak traffic.

'Delay travel or use alternate route.”

According to Google Maps, traffic is moving very slowly in the area.
