Motorists are advised to expect delays and pass the scene with care.

"A truck and container unit has rolled on SH29 North Bound outside 2292 SH29," says a Tauranga Transport Operations Centre spokesperson.

"One person has sustained moderate injuries," says a police spokesperson.

Earlier, 12.40pm: Emergency services are at the scene of a truck crash on State Highway 29, Lower Kaimai Range.

"A truck and container unit has rolled on SH29 North Bound outside 2292 SH29," says a Tauranga Transport Operations Centre spokesperson.

The crash is nearest to the cross roads of Valley View Rd and Soldiers Rd.

"A single vehicle crash was reported to Police at 12.20pm," says a police spokesperson.

"One person has sustained moderate injuries.

"It looks like the truck is off the road, and at least one lane of traffic is flowing but traffic management is being put in place."

Traffic congestion is reported to be building in both directions.

Motorist are advised that delays can be expected.

"Consider delaying travel or use alternate routes."
