One person is in serious condition after a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 2 near Katikati.

A police spokesperson says the incident occurred at about 8.44pm.

"One person was transported to hospital in serious condition.

"There are no reports of road blockages.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
