UPDATE 8AM: The crash on State Highway 2 is now clear.

Earlier this morning, emergency services responded to reports of a car hitting a barrier on Tamatea Arikinui Drive/SH2, near Bethlehem.

Police say there were no reports of any injuries.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

EARLIER:

Emergency services are at the scene of a crash on State Highway 2.

A Tauranga City Council spokespersons says there has been a crash on Tamatea Arikinui Dr (SH2) between Bethlehem and Waihi Rd off ramp south bound.

"Emergency Services are on scene.

"Expect Delays between Bethlehem Township and Cambridge Rd on ramp.

"Exercise caution passing scene."

Delays are expected near the crash scene.

A police spokesperson says police were notified that a vehicle had crashed into a barrier on Tamatea Arikinui Drive at about 6.20am.

"No injuries appear to have been reported, and there don't appear to be any road blockages."
