Update, 8.10pm: A motorcyclist has died following a crash involving another vehicle in Te Puke.

A SunLive reader reports that Boucher Ave in Te Puke has been closed by police following a crash between a truck and a motorcyclist.

Police say the crash happened around 4.30pm..

"Sadly the motorcyclist passed away at the scene," says a police spokesperson.

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.

The road remains closed and motorists are being diverted at Hookey Drive and Cameron Road.

In 2020 Te Puke residents called for action on Boucher Ave following multiple crashes there.

Earlier, 5pm: Emergency services are responding to the scene of a serious crash in Te Puke.
