UPDATE 9.10pm: The third-party damage to a water main on Lake Boulevard in Pyes Pa was repaired at 7.30pm and is back online, according to a Tauranga City Council spokesperson.

"We don't expect this would have had any impact to resident's water supply."

EARLIER 4.12pm: A water main has been damaged on Lake Boulevard in Pyes Pa this afternoon.

Tauranga City Council says the issue is being worked on, and more information will be provided soon.

"We are aware of the incident and our maintenance contractor is responding," says a Tauranga City Council spokesperson.
