What's on today?

Dinner in the Park starts at 5pm today. It is a weekly artisan food market held at Matua Park, operating every Sunday evening from Sunday November 6 2022 - Sunday March 26 2023. The market will be churning out some ambient beats with regular musicians and bands ensuring feet will be tapping and heads bobbing while the whole family enjoy their restaurant quality meals.

The Mitre 10 MEGA Tauranga City to Surf is back again with all competitors receiving a special finisher medal for participating as they cross the finish line on Mount Maunganui Beach. The event which runs from 7am - 3pm includes a half marathon, 11km and 5km run or walk options. Runners and walkers of all ability levels are joining in.

Join the Tauranga Historical Society at 2pm to hear about their participation in the 2022 Garden and Art Festival. John Coster will talk about the development of the Brain Watkins House garden, with photos from the 1890s to the 1990s, illustrating the changes that have taken place to the property over the last century and identifying the remaining original plantings. John is a heritage consultant and archaeologist, currently secretary of the Tauranga Historical Society. THS Talks are open to all. The $2 door charge includes afternoon tea and a chance to network with others that share your passion for history.

Due to the adverse weather last weekend, the HOWLoween Pawty has been postponed until today Sunday November 6. Head along to Fergussion Park, Matua at 2pm for a spooktacular Howloween Pawty for dogs. There will be prizes for best costumes and best tricks. As well as treats for both dogs and humans. The Costume Parade and Trick Contest will be held at 2.30pm. For more information click here

Head along to the Otumoetai Rotary Club Car Boot Sale at Otumoetai College tday frm 8am - 11am or until everything is gone. Sellers welcome at $10 a space. Proceeds go to Rotary Projects.
