Steamers beat Waikato 34 to 27

It was a great day in the office for the 'Steam Team' with the Bay of Plenty Steamers seizing the Battle of the Kaimai with a fulltime score of 34 to 27 on Sunday afternoon.

Waikato Rugby took on Bay of Plenty Rugby in Mooloo country for the remaining finals spot in the NPC Quarterfinal 4.

Bay of Plenty, who avenged their 35-34 defeat to Waikato a week earlier, will now travel to Christchurch to meet Canterbury for the semi next weekend. They will be playing Canterbury at 7.07pm on Saturday October 15.

Semifinalists: Wellington v Auckland in Wellington, Friday night. Canterbury v Bay of Plenty in Christchurch, Saturday night.
