Police are investigating an ongoing incident in Te Aroha.
There will be an increased Police presence in the area this morning, says a police spokesperson.
"Members of the public are advised to report any suspicious behaviour immediately on 111.
"We are also advising people to avoid assisting anyone attempting to hitch-hike in the area this morning.
"Further information will be provided when able."
