Te Puna Station Road is closed until Wednesday after the bank above the road collapsed, bringing trees down onto the road.
Te Puna Station Road is closed while InRoads removes a large tree that has collapsed onto the road.
The whole section alongside the Wairoa River remains unstable with a large pine tree poised above one slip and threatening the road.
Residents say the tree became unstable last week, and more of the bank slipped away in the weekend.
InRoads, which manages the Western Bay Of Plenty roading network, is working to remove the large pine overhanging the road, and clearing the debris.
They expect the road to re-open on Wednesday.
