Powerball player wins $6.3 million

A lucky Powerball player from Auckland will be celebrating after winning $6.3 million with Powerball First Division in Wednesday night's live Lotto draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Countdown Hobsonville in Auckland. The prize is made up of $6 million from Powerball First Division and $333,333 from Lotto First Division.

Wednesday night's win comes just over a week after a lucky Hamilton couple scored themselves $9 million with Powerball First Division. After finding out they were the lucky winners, the couple spent the rest of their day grinning at each other around the house.

Two other lucky Lotto players will also be celebrating after each winning $333,333 with Lotto First Division in Wednesday night's live Lotto draw. The winning tickets were sold at New World Melody's in Palmerston North and on MyLotto to a player from Auckland.

Meanwhile, a lucky Strike player will also be celebrating today after winning $200,000 with Strike Four. The winning Strike Four ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Wellington.

Ten lucky Lotto players will be jumping for joy after each winning $18,289 with Lotto Second Division in Wednesday night's live Lotto draw.

One lucky player also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $29,529. The winning Powerball Second Division ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Auckland.
