The winner of this year's Greerton Cherry Blossom Window Dressing Competition is Centrepoint Opportunity Shop.

Their window features a Japanese cherry blossom theme with a pink parasol, kimono, orbs and blossoms.

Centrepoint have won a $750 advertising package sponsored by Sun Media. Centrepoint is a community-based op shop and drop-in centre with a large range of quality used, vintage and recycled items. Proceeds are used to support the community.

It's that time of year again when Greerton Village shops are celebrating spring with over 15 shop windows decked out in the cherry blossom theme.

The competition's runner-up is Waipuna Hospice Charity Shop, winning a morning tea for the staff from the Greerton Village Community Association. A highly recommended certificate went to Zest Café & Bakery.

The cherry blossom trees around the village are bursting into flower creating a spectacular and very welcome sight admired by everyone who is out and about in the village.
